About Our Residential Courses

Our unique residential courses combine a stay at Ring House Farm with the opportunity to drive Western Star, a superb 1912 built traction engine through the countryside of the English Lake District. In a typical course, after only a morning's tuition, you will be ready to take the engine out on the road - under professional supervision (of course) !

A residential traction engine course also makes an unusual gift for any friends or relatives who are steam enthusiasts, and special gift vouchers are available for this purpose, on request.
